Little Pete is the proud owner of a handsome new Solwayer guitar… we thought it was getting a bit fender heavy on stage. We think it sounds a bit like a gibson SG at times, but with a lot more flexibility. Anyway, it’s handmade and its English and it looks and sounds perfect for us. Pete said that upon playing it he ‘suddenly realised he’d been playing the wrong guitar for the past 3 years’. We’re quite rightly obsessed with our guitars; it has to feel really good in your hands, especially when you’re playing it every night on tour, then recording with it, and writing with it. (Tommy is still playing the same Fender strat squire which he’s had since he was 12.)
A guitar like this doesn’t come cheaply and obviously not everyone is a famous rock star but we think it’s worth looking for a guitar that’s unique, or at least a bit different from what everyone else is playing. (and one which obviously sounds fantastic) Anyway, this is the new member of our band.
