Body: 2-piece solid ash, 1¾ inch thick,
reverse offset waist
Neck: Figured maple, bolt on, 2 degree rakeback from
body
Headstock: Scarf-joined, 14 degree tiltback
Scale length; 32½ inch
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Frets: Hard nickel silver 'old jumbo', 2.7mm wide,
1.2mm high
Pickups: Seymour Duncan SCPB-2 and SCPB-3 single coil
pickups
Controls: 1 x volume, 1 x tone, knurled nickel knobs,
small pickup toggle switches
Scratchplate: 1 ply plastic, parchment
Bridge: Classic nickel bridge with threaded saddles
Machineheads: Classic cloverleaf nickel plated,
2-a-side
The bolt-on neck has its heel extending beyond the fingerboard and under
the scratchplate, giving full playing access to every fret, right up the
neck.
On this prototype, pickup switching allows selection between a classic
hot single coil (bridge), a high-output single coil (neck), or both pickups
wired in series to really shake the walls!
